The Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) 毕业 is a celebration honoring the achievements of our graduating APIDA students at PCC. Our goal is to build a stronger community among our APIDA students and honor the hard work, perseverance, and dedication they have demonstrated at PCC.

This year’s academic celebration will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024 in Sexson Auditorium, with a reception and family-friendly celebration to follow.

Included in the celebration:

  • 毕业 Ceremony (Cap and gown is optional)
  • APIDA 毕业 Sash
  • 晚餐接待
  • 娱乐
  • A community of PCC faculty, staff and students celebrating your achievements!

注意: Participation in the APIDA 毕业 is separate from the campus’s main 毕业典礼 ceremony, which will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024. We highly encourage our graduates to participate in both the APIDA 毕业 and in the college's official 毕业典礼 ceremony. Follow all deadlines regarding 毕业典礼 2024 here. 

Participation Requirements

  1. Complete an Associate’s Degree (AA/AS/ADT), Certificate Program or transferring to a four-year university, OR Complete the PCC Adult High School Diploma  
  2. 提交 APIDA 毕业 Interest Form by Friday, May 17, 2024
  3. Attend one of the 强制性的 orientation sessions* listed below:
  • May 7, 2024, 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM (ZOOM)
  • May 10, 2024, 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM (ZOOM)
  • May 13, 2024, 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM (In-Person at Circadian CC130)
  • May 16, 2024, 12:00 PM to 1:00PM (In-Person at Circadian CC130)

*During the in-person orientations, our team will take student headshots with the APIDA腰带. This photo will be featured at the ceremony for your family and friends to see and celebrate you. Students who attend an online session can send headshot or appropriate portrait pictures to the APIDA 毕业 Committee. Selfies, inappropriate or offensive pictures will not be included in the ceremony.

  • 5:30 PM – Sexson Auditorium Doors Open
  • 6:00 PM – Graduates line up in front of Sexson Auditorium

  • 7:30 PM and on – Dinner and 娱乐
